Hi! I’m Dr. Rebecca Berens

FOUNDER AND LEAD PHYSICIAN OF VIDA FAMILY MEDICINe

Through personal and professional experiences, I saw the need for a practice that accommodates those who’ve had limitations in their care due to rushed appointments, stigma and bias in healthcare settings, and inadequate insurance coverage.

This prompted me to establish Vida Family Medicine, a more inclusive and supportive environment that provides access to high quality, compassionate care for those who are often left behind by the healthcare system.

My mission is to help you manage your physical and mental health through prevention and early intervention. Taking a holistic approach to your health, I’m here to listen to your story, treat you as an individual, while also growing with you and your family.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT/FRONT DESK

Since joining Vida Family Medicine in January 2022, Tracy has become an integral part of our team. As both our front desk receptionist and medical assistant, she ensures the smooth operation of the practice and is always available to assist patients with any administrative or billing inquiries.

  • Outside of work, Tracy enjoys being a mother to her two wonderful children and expresses her creativity through crafting.

VIRTUAL OFFICE MANAGER

Angie, our office manager, works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a seamless patient experience. From managing practice systems and technology to overseeing onboarding and appointment scheduling, she plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations.

  • You might have the pleasure of meeting Angie during your initial meet and greet, as she also assists with managing new patient intake.

    Angie, our office manager, works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a seamless patient experience. From managing practice systems and technology to overseeing onboarding and appointment scheduling, she plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations.

    You might have the pleasure of meeting Angie during your initial meet and greet, as she also assists with managing new patient intake. 

    Angie became interested in the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model in 2017, when, as a patient, she was looking for better options for her healthcare. She was frustrated with traditional insurance companies and joined a Health Sharing Ministry for her medical needs.

    It is through that ministry that she first heard about Direct Primary Care. She contacted her local DPC doctor and after hearing what it was all about she signed up right away. Later on she found out she was that doctor's first patient!

    She has believed in the DPC model ever since and therefore went from patient, to friend, to her doctor's virtual assistant.

    Angie is passionate about patient disclosure, transparency, and education.

    Outside of work, Angie enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with her family which is her husband, daughter, stepson, 2 dogs, and rescue kitten.
